Family Medicine is the medical specialty that is dedicated to treating the whole person - we specialize in you! Your medical care is a partnership between you and your medical team. We want you to be involved in your healthcare and ask questions every step of the way.
To deliver the best possible healthcare:- We stay accessible to our patients so we can address their concerns and answer their questions. We aim to provide same day appointments.
- We emphasize prevention and recommend annual preventative exams. It is easier to maintain good health than to restore it. Therefore we use annual physicals to help prevent chronic diseases, such as diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.
- We perform cancer screening including pap and breast exams, colorectal exams, and skin exams to find cancers early so they can be cured.
- We prevent a variety of illnesses with vaccinations against influenza, pneumonia, hepatitis and chicken pox.
- We stress diet and exercise to promote health and fitness.
- We recognize the tremendous burden that obesity places on our patients and society, and started a weight loss program that works well and doesn’t use dangerous drugs.
- We coordinate care with specialists when needed.
- We use the latest technology to improve your care and have had fully electronic medical records since 2003.
